Four Brooks Farm, owned by the De Kay Gilder Palmer family since 1898, is an exceptional Berkshire property embodying idyllic country living — main house, guest wing, post-and-beam dance and music barn, walled Roman gardens, stone walls, pastures, trails, and views. Steeped in Gilded Age history, the house was owned by artist Helena de Kay Gilder, co-founder of the Art Students League and the Society of American Artists, and her husband Richard Watson Gilder, poet and editor of Scribner's and Century magazines.
